Vinyl chip broadcast to rejection over a pigmented base, sealed with two coats of polyaspartic. The workhorse finish for garages, laundries and workshops. Free on-site assessments across Auburn and the rest of Western Sydney.
We work across Auburn 2144 and the wider Western Sydney most weeks, so a site assessment is usually a two or three day wait rather than a fortnight.
A flake floor is built in layers, not painted on. We diamond-grind the slab back to a CSP 2–3 profile, cut out and fill the cracks, roll a penetrating epoxy primer, then lay a pigmented base coat and throw vinyl chip into it while it is still wet — to rejection, so the whole floor is covered. Once it cures we knock the flake back flat, vacuum, and finish with two coats of polyaspartic.
The result is roughly 1.2 to 1.8 mm thick, seamless, and immune to the hot-tyre pickup that lifts cheap garage paint off a slab in the first summer. Oil wipes straight off it, and a soft broom is the only maintenance it needs.
| Build thickness | 1.2–1.8 mm |
|---|---|
| Topcoat | Polyaspartic |
| Foot traffic | Same evening |
| Drive on | 72 hours |
| Typical job | 2–3 days |
Foot traffic the same evening the topcoat goes down, vehicles at 72 hours. That figure is not negotiable — driving on a green coating imprints hot tyre marks that never lift.
Only if the preparation is skipped. Coatings peel because they went over a sealed, acid-etched or damp slab. We grind mechanically and moisture-test before quoting, which removes the two causes behind almost every failure we are called out to fix.
Yes. We bring the full colour chart to the site assessment and match the blend against your walls, joinery and roller door in the light the floor will actually live in.
Usually within two or three business days. The assessment takes about 45 minutes — we measure up, probe the slab for moisture and photograph any cracks — and the written quote follows within two business days of that.
We cover Western Sydney and the surrounding areas. Same crew, same preparation standard, no travel loading inside the metro area.
Free on-site assessment across Western Sydney — Mon–Sat, 6:30am–5pm.
